25-franc gold coin 2026

The 2026 25-franc gold coin is minted in the highest quality “proof”. The obverse bears the Swiss coat of arms, featuring a cross formed of five equal squares set against a background of flowering alpine rose branches; above this is the inscription “SWITZERLAND” This design is inspired by the historic 20-franc gold coin from 1871.

The reverse features the Swiss cross and the value “FR 25.”, accompanied by the inscription “CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA” – a tribute to the classic 25-franc gold coins of 1955, 1956 and 1959.

The coin will be issued as edition of 5,000 proof-quality pieces in a presentation case.

  Cancellation of the subscription must be made in writing, either by post or by email to: info@swissmint.ch. Please state your customer number and full address.

  You can purchase Swissmint special coins in the online shop at www.swissmintshop.ch. New special coins are available from 8:00 a.m. on the day of issue.

• How can I subscribe to a special coin subscription?

  To take out a new Swissmint subscription, simply complete the online form at "subscription".

• When will I receive the invoice for the special coins included in my subscription?

  Invoices are sent by post approximately 40 days before the issue date. The 30-day payment deadline stated on the invoice must be observed; otherwise, the special coins can no longer be reserved.
