Swissmint

With its new coin series, Swissmint is honouring the history and technical achievements of Swiss aviation. The first in the series of three silver coins is called “Pioneers of Swiss aviation” and will be issued on 18 September 2025.

Presented for the first time by Swissmint at the World Money Fair, the latest special coin 100 years 100-franc Vreneli will go on sale on 1 July 2025.

The new silver coin from Swissmint marks the 100th birthday of the Swiss artist Jean Tinguely. The CHF 20 special coin celebrates the creations of this influential 20th-century artist, and will be available from 22 May 2025.

The bicolour special coin from Swissmint commemorates the 150th anniversary of Switzerland's Federal Supreme Court: the CHF 10 special coin honours the highest court in Switzerland with the figure of Justitia – the personification of justice. It will be available from 22 May 2025.

The new CERN special coin from Swissmint combines Swiss precision with cutting-edge research: the 20-franc silver coin honours scientific progress in Switzerland and showcases one of the most fascinating research institutes. It will be available from 13 March 2025.

At the World Money Fair, Switzerland will present the latest special coin to mark an anniversary: On 1 July 2025, Swissmint will issue the new coin “100 Years 100-Franc Vreneli” – in homage to the original issue of 1925.
