25-franc gold coin

The 25-franc gold coin from 2024 marks an important moment in Swissmint's history. This coin with its refined design is made from proof quality. The obverse features the Swiss cross and the value 25 FR, accompanied by the legend "CONFOEDERATIO HELVETICA" - a tribute to the classic 25-franc gold coins of 1955, 1958 and 1959. The reverse features the Swiss shield with a cross formed of five equal squares on branches of rhododendron in bloom. The inscription "SWITZERLAND" appears at the top and the year 2024 at the bottom. The design is inspired by the historic 20-franc goldcoin of 1871, and brings a touch of tradition to modern times.

Of particular mention is the inscription "DOMINUS PROVIDEBIT" and 13 stars on the edge, making this the first of the modern 25-franc gold coins. This inscription gives the coin great symbolic value.

With this coin, Swissmint has created an exceptional product - a combination of past and present that not only makes collectors' hearts beat faster. From 2026, it is planned to issue the 25-franc gold coin annually in brilliant uncirculated quality with the same design, making it a lasting object for every coin collector.
