Lakes Set | Swissmint
On 25 October 2026, Swissmint will issue the new Lakes Set. It contains three proof quality silver coins, dedicated to Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore and Lake Geneva. Limited to 300 sets, it will be available exclusively at the Zurich Coin fair.
The Lakes set contains three special coins dedicated to Lake Lugano, Lake Maggiore and Lake Geneva. The coins are issued in proof quality and are made of 999 silver. Each special coin weighs 20g.
On the obverse, each of the three lakes is depicted from a bird’s-eye view. The surrounding landscapes extend to the edge of the coin in the form of contour lines. This graphic representation highlights both the characteristic silhouette of each body of water and the relief of its surroundings. The reverse features a striking graphic design that emphasises Switzerland’s importance as Europe’s ‘water tower’.
From the mild climate of Ticino to the vineyards and the Alps surrounding Lake Geneva, these three special coins pay tribute to the diversity, beauty and uniqueness of Switzerland’s lakeside landscapes.
The set contains a certificate and is limited to 300 units.
Availability
The set will be available exclusively at the Zurich Coin Fair on 25 October 2026 from 9.00 am. To give as many people as possible the opportunity to purchase a set, the number of sets per person may be limited. Any such limit will be determined at the event.
