With the new “ESA” special coin, Swissmint is honouring Switzerland's space programme and its contribution to European space exploration. The silver coin will be issued on 11 June 2026, and will showcase Switzerland's cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA).

With its new four-part coin series, “Swiss lakes”, Swissmint is portraying the diversity of Switzerland's lakes. The “Lake Geneva” special coin will add a third coin to the series on 19 March 2026.

“Hedgehog”, the latest special coin, is Swissmint's tribute to Pro Natura's Animal of the Year for 2026. Issued on 19 March 2026, this bimetallic coin showcases this threatened species.
New special coin issue: series celebrating the beauty of Switzerland's lakes
With its new four-part coin series, “Swiss lakes”, Swissmint is portraying the diversity of Switzerland's lakes. The first two silver coins will be issued on 30 October 2025 and are entitled “Lake Maggiore” and “Lake Lugano”, placing the spotlight on the lakes of Ticino.
New special coin issue: series commemorating Swiss aviation
With its new coin series, Swissmint is honouring the history and technical achievements of Swiss aviation. The first in the series of three silver coins is called “Pioneers of Swiss aviation” and will be issued on 18 September 2025.
